This Privacy Policy explains how Robert Ehrhardt (“reneph.de”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the apps Password Safe, CashOwl, PawTricks and ASCStats (the “Apps”) and the website reneph.de (the “Site”).

1. Data processed in the Apps

Each App is designed to keep your data on your device under your control:

• Password Safe — Your vault is stored and encrypted locally with AES-256. There is no account and no reneph.de server. Optional, opt-in sync can be enabled through your own Dropbox or Google Drive; in that case the encrypted data is stored in your cloud account, governed by that provider's terms.
• CashOwl — Your accounts, transactions and reports are stored locally on your device. We do not receive them.
• PawTricks — Your dogs' profiles, training progress and any health notes are stored on your device.
• ASCStats — Connects directly from your Mac to Apple's App Store Connect API using an API key you provide. The key is stored in the macOS Keychain and requests are signed locally. Your sales and statistics are fetched from Apple to your Mac and are not sent to us.

2. Purchases & app stores

The Apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Any purchases, subscriptions and downloads are processed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We receive only aggregated, non-identifying sales and download statistics from these stores; we do not receive your payment details.

3. The website

The Site is a static informational website. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking. Our hosting provider may process standard technical server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for the purpose of delivering and securing the Site. If you contact us by email, we process the information you choose to send in order to respond.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Apps and Site (Art. 6(1)(f)), the performance of a contract where you purchase an app (Art. 6(1)(b)), and your consent where required, e.g. when you enable optional cloud sync (Art. 6(1)(a)).

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is only “shared” with the third parties you yourself choose to involve — namely Apple, Google, and (for Password Safe sync) your own cloud storage provider.

6. Retention

Because your in-app content lives on your device, you control its retention and can delete it at any time by removing the data or uninstalling the App. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As most data never leaves your device, the fastest way to exercise these rights is directly within the App. For anything else, contact us at contact@reneph.de.

8. Children

Our Apps and Site are not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Apps and the Site provided by Robert Ehrhardt (“reneph.de”). By downloading, installing or using an App, or by using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Apps on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the applicable app store.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, resell or redistribute the Apps except as permitted by law, and not to use them for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair the service or other users.

3. Purchases & subscriptions

Some features may require a one-time purchase or a subscription, sold and managed by Apple or Google. Billing, renewals, refunds and cancellations are handled by the respective app store under its terms. Please review those terms before purchasing.

4. Your content & responsibility

You are responsible for the data you store in the Apps and for keeping your own backups and credentials safe. For Password Safe in particular: your master password is never transmitted to us and cannot be recovered by us — if you lose it, your vault cannot be decrypted.

5. Disclaimer of warranty

The Apps and Site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that statistics shown (for example in ASCStats) will be complete or accurate.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue arising from your use of the Apps or Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Apps or Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
