Robert Ehrhardt ("ASCStats", "us", "we", or "our") operates the ASCStats application for macOS (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").
This Privacy Policy informs you about how the Service handles your information when you use it on macOS.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described herein. Unless otherwise defined, terms in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
ASCStats is a menu bar app that displays your own App Store Connect sales, downloads, proceeds and ratings. It runs entirely on your Mac. We do not operate any servers, we do not have an account system, and we never receive, store or have access to your data. Your App Store Connect credentials and the reports the app downloads stay on your device.
To show your statistics, ASCStats needs an App Store Connect API key that you create yourself in App Store Connect. This consists of a private key file (.p8), a Key ID and an Issuer ID.
These credentials are stored exclusively in the macOS Keychain on your device. They are marked as device-only (they are not synchronized to iCloud Keychain or to any other device) and are only available after the device has been unlocked. The private key is used solely on your Mac to sign requests to Apple's App Store Connect API. Your credentials are never transmitted to us or to any third party other than Apple.
The sales, financial, download and ratings reports shown in the app are requested directly from Apple to your Mac using your own credentials. This data is processed locally and cached on your device (in the application's Application Support container) so that the dashboard can be displayed quickly. This data is not saved on our servers, nor do we have access to it.
ASCStats does not collect any Personal Data or Usage Data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracking SDK in the app. The app does not create an account and does not require you to provide any information to us.
To provide its functionality, the Service connects directly from your device to the following services. We are not a party to these connections and receive no data from them.
Apple App Store Connect API (api.appstoreconnect.apple.com)
Used to download your own sales, finance and ratings reports. Requests are authenticated with the API key you provide. The data returned stays on your device. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple iTunes Lookup (itunes.apple.com/lookup)
Used to retrieve public metadata (such as app names and icons) for the apps shown in the dashboard. Only public app identifiers are sent. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev)
Used to obtain currency exchange rates (based on European Central Bank reference rates) so that proceeds can be converted into your preferred currency. Only currency codes and dates are sent; no personal data is transmitted. See the Frankfurter website.
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for any processing of personal information depends on the specific context in which it occurs. Because ASCStats processes your data only locally on your device and we do not receive it, the processing described in this Privacy Policy is carried out on the basis of your consent, given by entering your credentials and using the Service, and our legitimate interest in providing the app's functionality to you.
We do not retain any of your data, because it never reaches us. Your credentials remain in the macOS Keychain, and downloaded reports remain in the application's local cache, until:
Your credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain and the app runs inside the macOS App Sandbox with the Hardened Runtime enabled. All network connections are made over HTTPS. The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Because all data processed by ASCStats stays on your own device and is under your control, you can access, correct or delete it directly within the app or via your Mac at any time.
In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:
The right to access, update or delete the information. All data handled by the Service is stored locally on your device and can be accessed, updated or deleted by you directly, including by signing out or removing the app.
The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to object. You have the right to object to processing of your Personal Data.
The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict processing.
The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of your information in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format.
The right to withdraw consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by signing out and removing the app.

We do not employ any third-party service provider that processes your Personal Data on our behalf. The third-party connections listed above are made directly from your device to those services and are governed by their respective privacy policies.
The Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. We will update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
